After School Tutorial offered EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY 2:30-4:00 p.m.

Transportation will be provided.

The College of William & Mary has a career and academic planning experience for gifted and high ability students in grades 6 through 12 and their parents.  The program is Saturday, January 28th at William & Mary.  Specific information on the program is at cfge.wm.edu.  If you are interested, ask Dr. Lamm in the GCHS Guidance Department for an application.  Registration deadline is December 9th.

The Governor's School of Southside Virginia is a half-day program for juniors and seniors who have a high ability and interest in the areas of science and math. Applicants for the 2013-2014 academic year should be currently in the 10th or 11th grade, have a B average and have completed Algebra 2 by the end of their sophomore year. A Governor's School interest meeting will be held in the GCHS library on Thursday, November 15th, at 12:45 PM. Students interested in applying should sign up in the guidance office and make arrangements to attend. Parents are invited to attend this informational meeting as well. Please see Dr. Lamm in the guidance office if you have questions.

The Senior Class is working on a community service project to benefit domestic violence.  They are collecting old cell phones and chargers.  Please seal the cell phone and charger in a zip loc bag.  Donations may be given to any senior class member or dropped off at the GCHS main office.  Thank you for your help!
